Biography
Bayisa Fikadu is a Lecturer and academic leader in the Department of Computer Science at Bonga University. He holds a BSc degree in Computer Science from Debre Tabor University and an MSc degree in Software Engineering from Addis Ababa Science and Technology University.
He began his professional career as a Software Engineer at Transsion Holding Manufacturing in Addis Ababa, where he served from June 2017 to February 2020, gaining solid industry experience in software development, system design, and software maintenance.
Since March 2020, Bayisa Fikadu has been serving as a Lecturer at Bonga University, where he is actively engaged in teaching, academic advising, and departmental development. He has been serving the university, as the Head of the Department of Computer Science.
In addition to his academic qualifications, he has completed professional certificates from Coursera in areas related to software engineering, artificial intelligence, and data-driven technologies, as well as professional training certificate from Cisco, which has strengthened his practical and industry-oriented skill set.
His teaching and research interests include Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Natural Language Processing (NLP). He is committed to strengthening academic programs, enhancing teaching and learning quality, and contributing to the long-term development of Bonga University through academic leadership, research, and innovation.
