Biography
Belete Worke Dagne is a Lecturer and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Bonga University, under College of Engineering and Technology, Ethiopia. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Construction Engineering and Management from Jimma University.
He has over six years of experience in university-level teaching at Bonga University, where he has been actively involved in undergraduate instruction, curriculum development, academic advising, research, community service and student mentorship. In addition to his academic career, he has more than four years of professional experience in construction projects, which strengthens his practical and industry-oriented approach to teaching and leadership.
As Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Mr. Belete provides academic leadership, coordinates departmental activities, and works to enhance the quality of engineering education. His academic and professional interests focus on construction technology and management, project planning, and sustainable construction practices. He is strongly committed to bridging theory and practice, advancing academic excellence, and contributing to capacity building in Ethiopia’s engineering sector.
