Biography
Mr. Garumma Abdisa Jabesa is a lecturer and researcher at Bonga University, Ethiopia, under the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Department of Coffee Science and Technology. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Horticulture. His academic training is complemented by over a decade of practical experience at Solagrow PLC, where he served as a Farm Manager and Agronomist. His professional work focused on the management of various crops, with particular emphasis on potato seed and ware production, agronomic practices, pest management, and post-harvest handling of perishable horticultural crops, working closely with out-growers to promote sustainable production and income generation. Since January 4, 2023, he has been actively engaged in teaching, advising students on seminars and undergraduate theses, conducting research, and providing community service at Bonga University, thereby contributing to capacity building in horticulture and coffee science.
