Biography
My name is Thomas Mihret and I am a Lecturer in Economics at Bonga University, Ethiopia, specializing in Development Economics. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics with a strong academic record and several years of teaching and academic service experience. My work focuses on delivering clear, structured, and student-centered instruction in core and applied economics courses. I have solid expertise in economic theory, quantitative methods, and applied economic analysis, supported by practical skills in statistical software such as STATA, SPSS, EViews, and R. I am experienced in curriculum development, academic advising, and mentoring students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
I am also committed to academic excellence, continuous professional development, and fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. Known for my punctuality, discipline, and collaborative approach, I strive to create an inclusive and effective learning environment that supports students in achieving their academic and professional goals.
