Biography

My name is Amare Bitew Nega. I was born in 1987 E.C. in the West Gojjam Zone of the Amhara Region, Ethiopia. My education began in 1996 E.C. at Abiwot CHora Kebele in Sekela Woreda. I completed my secondary and preparatory education at Danka and Abaminch schools, respectively. Upon completing my preparatory studies, I joined the University of Gondar and earned a degree in Natural Resource Management from 2007 to 2009 E.C. After, I pursued an MSc in Soil Science at Bahir Dar University from 2011 to 2012 E.C. Following my master’s degree, I served as a Soil Science Instructor at Bonga University from 19/04/2013 E.C. to 01/03/2018 E.C. In this role, I was actively involved in teaching and learning processes and participated in several research projects, during which I published six (6) articles in Web of Science/Scopus-indexed journals. Currently, I am a PhD student in Soil Science at Bahir Dar University.

I have a great interest in conducting research in the areas of Soil Fertility
Soil Genesis and Classification
Soil Biology
and Soil and water Conservation.
