Nega Desalegn Tadese is a Lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and serves as the Practical Education and Laboratory Coordinator of the University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Laboratory Technology and a Master of Science degree in Infectious and Tropical Diseases.
His academic and research expertise focuses on infectious and tropical diseases, laboratory diagnostics, and zoonotic diseases. He has produced notable research outputs in the areas of food-borne bacterial pathogens and traditional medicine. Currently, his ongoing research is centered on antimicrobial resistance and zoonotic diseases, contributing to improved animal and public health through a One Health approach.
In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Mr. Nega has actively participated in community engagement activities, including rabies control and poultry production development initiatives. Through his academic, research, and community service roles, he is committed to strengthening veterinary education, disease prevention, and public health in Ethiopia.
