Habitamu Bekele Ato is a dedicated Senior Technical Assistant and Academic Staff member in the Civil Engineering Department at Bonga University, where he has built over five years of professional experience. He provides essential technical support and instruction, specializing in the practical application of core surveying instruments, including total stations, automatic levels, theodolites, and GPS equipment for precise measurement, land surveying, and construction layout projects.
He holds a foundational Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Surveying Engineering and is currently advancing his specialization as a Master of Science (MSc) candidate in GIS and Remote Sensing at Hawassa University. In his role, Habitamu effectively bridges traditional engineering fieldwork with modern geospatial analysis, supporting academic research, university infrastructure development, and student training.
His work contributes directly to the applied research and teaching missions of Bonga University, an institution recognized for its comprehensive academic profile and commitment to staff development. Habitamu is a skilled technical professional whose combined expertise in field surveying and advanced spatial analysis positions him to address complex engineering and environmental challenges.
