Biography

Fitsum Debebe Assefa is an Ethiopian environmental and natural resource management professional with a strong academic foundation and multidisciplinary training. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Environment and Climate Change Management from Ethiopian Civil Service University, graduating with a GPA of 3.69, where he gained advanced knowledge in climate change adaptation and mitigation, environmental policy, sustainable development, and natural resource governance.

He earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Natural Resource Management from Hawassa University, Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources, with a GPA of 3.8. His undergraduate studies focused on forestry, soil and water conservation, biodiversity management, watershed management, and sustainable land-use systems, providing a strong scientific and practical grounding in natural resource conservation.

Earlier, he completed a Diploma in Natural Resource from Wolaita Soddo Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training College, graduating with distinction (GPA 3.94). This program strengthened his practical skills in land management, agriculture, and community-based natural resource development.
