Biography
My name is Habtamu Debasu, and I am a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Special Needs and Inclusive Education at Bonga University. I have been actively engaged in university teaching since 2013 E.C., where I teach undergraduate courses related to special needs education and inclusive education. Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I am deeply involved in academic research and community engagement that focuses on improving educational access, equity, and learning outcomes for students with disabilities.
To date, I have published nearly 13 research articles in reputable international journals, addressing key issues such as inclusive learning environments, assistive technology, teacher preparation, and the academic experiences of students with disabilities. In addition, I am currently working on two ongoing community projects and three research projects that further explore inclusive education practices and policy implementation in higher education and school settings. Through my teaching, research, and community engagement, I am committed to advancing inclusive education and contributing to evidence-based practices that support learners with diverse needs.
