Biography
Dr. Alemayehu Choramo’s professional journey reflects his unwavering commitment to the betterment of animal health and education. Beginning as an animal health worker in Tocha Wereda, Dawro Zone, Ethiopia, he dedicated three years to serving his community, fostering vital skills and insights into the field. Transitioning seamlessly into academia, he assumed the role of Assistant Professor at Bonga University in March 2020. Here, his passion for teaching and research found a platform to flourish, impacting the next generation of veterinary professionals. His leadership qualities and expertise were soon recognized, leading to his appointment as the Head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Bonga University in October. In this role, Dr. Choramo plays a pivotal role in shaping the department’s vision, fostering innovation, and ensuring academic excellence. Through his combined experiences in practical animal health work and academia, he brings a holistic perspective to his leadership, driving initiatives that bridge theory and practice in veterinary medicine. Dr. Choramo’s dedication to advancing the field, coupled with his compassionate approach, continues to inspire both colleagues and students alike
