Biography
My name is Simegnih Tekle. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Jimma University and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethiopian Languages and Literature from Mizan-Tepi University.
I have over ten years of professional experience as a Kafi Noonoo language lecturer at Bonga College of Teacher Education, where I have been actively engaged in teaching, community service, module preparation, and student textbook development. I currently continue my academic career at Bonga University, where I contribute to teaching, instructional material development, and departmental leadership.
I am fluent in Amharic, English, and Kafi Noonoo. My technical skills include effective use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.), Adobe InDesign for designing instructional and reading materials, and facilitating Zoom-based conferences and online meetings. Academically, I am skilled in active learning methodologies, continuous assessment, creative writing, and educational leadership.
In addition, I have substantial experience in translating texts between Amharic and Kafi Noonoo, as well as between English and Kafi Noonoo, in both directions. I also have experience in delivering professional trainings on Kafi Noonoo language-related topics, contributing to language preservation, development, and capacity building.
