Biography
Fitamo Fikre Gensera is a dedicated educator and administrator with a robust background in English language and literature. Born and raised in the Hadiya zone, Soro woreda, Fitamo completed his primary and secondary education there, laying the foundation for a lifelong commitment to learning and language.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Wolaita Sodo University in 2012, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Arba Minch University in 2018. Fitamo began his teaching career in 2012, serving in Guraghe zone, Edza woreda, where he taught for five years and helped ignite a passion for language in his students.
Between 2017 and 2020, Fitamo expanded his professional horizon as a stock controller at Ok Bottling and Beverage Share Company in Gurage zone, Edza woreda. This experience afforded him a practical understanding of operations, logistics, and organizational efficiency, complementing his academic and instructional skills.
Since 2020, Fitamo has been a lecturer in the Department of English Language and Literature at Bonga University, where he continues to contribute to student development and academic excellence. In addition to his teaching duties, he has taken on the role of ELIC Coordinator, starting last year, overseeing language program coordination and supporting language learning initiatives across the university.
Fitamo’s career reflects a blend of classroom pedagogy, administrative leadership, and real-world experience in supply chain environments. He remains committed to fostering linguistic proficiency, cultural understanding, and academic growth among his students and colleagues.
