Our university, participating in the 10th Higher Education Institutions Sports Festival, has been honored with a medal award.

The Women’s Volleyball team reached the finals and, after a hard-fought and competitive match against Wollo University, secured the Silver Medal by finishing in second place.

In addition to the success in volleyball, Bonga University also earned a medal in "Korbo" (a traditional cultural game) during this festival.

Festival Highlights:

• Theme: "In Love, Unity, and Diversity."

• Timeline: The festival has been ongoing since January 25, 2026 (Tir 17, 2018 E.C.).

• Closing: The event concluded with a grand ceremony where it was announced that Haramaya University will host the next sports festival in 2027 (2019 E.C.).
