Academic leaders from Bonga University recently completed a 21-day international training program, "Seminar on Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control for Developing Countries," hosted by China’s Biogas Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (BIOMA).

​BIOMA, a globally recognized center for technical training and sustainable rural development, hosted the delegation across three major Chinese cities: Chengdu (Sichuan), Kunming (Yunnan), and Guangzhou (Guangdong).

The program provided delegates with direct exposure to China's advanced practices in renewable energy, pollution control, and sustainable development.

​The training opportunity was secured through the diplomatic engagement of Bonga University President, Dr. Degela Ergano, as part of the university's strategy to expand global partnerships and staff capacity.

Dr. Yared Ayalew Zemede, Director for International Relations and Strategic Partnership at Bonga University, was selected to deliver the valedictory closing address on behalf of all international attendees.

In his address, Dr. Yared thanked BIOMA and the Chinese government for their hospitality while affirming the participants' commitment to applying the knowledge gained to environmental initiatives in their home countries.
