In a holiday message, the President of Bonga University, Dr. Degela Ergano, extended his congratulations for the 1447th Eid al-Fitr, noting that the long-awaited month of Ramadan was observed with complete religious devotion.
The Honorable President continued his message by stating that the holiday is a reflection of "Ethiopianism," serving as a testament that Ethiopia is a land of not only diverse populations but also diverse religions.
He emphasized that the Muslim community is characterized by its generosity, as demonstrated during the fasting period. He urged everyone to celebrate the holiday by remembering the vulnerable and showing the same Ethiopian generosity and compassion.
The President noted that our university, which is a symbol of "Little Ethiopia," should celebrate the occasion not only by performing religious rites but also by keeping those in need and the elderly in mind.
Finally, he concluded his holiday wishes by expressing his hope that the occasion brings peace, happiness, and a spirit of greater mutual care to the entire Bonga University community, its students, and all Muslim Ethiopians.
Happy Eid al-Fitr!
