I am delighted to disclose about Department of Veterinary Medicine at Bonga University. Our department intended to produce knowledgeable, skilled and disciplined veterinary professionals who are technically competent and satisfy the market demand of the country so as to enhance economic benefit of the livestock producers and improving contribution of the sector in the advancement of the national economy and public health protection as well. The department has well knowledgeable and skilled staffs with practical and academic experiences who are relentlessly working to cultivate veterinarians who uphold ethical and legal responsibilities; evaluate scientific evidence, apply research and modern veterinary technologies, scientific principles, laboratory techniques; demonstrate entrepreneurial initiative and innovation by creating, managing, or contributing to veterinary facility that enhance access to animal health services.

Currently, Bonga University has Different livestock farms (dairy, poultry, feedlot, beef, sheep, apiaries and fishery) which are used as a demonstration and practical sites for veterinary medical students. Additionally, there is laboratory and laboratory facilities and Veterinary teaching hospital as well which is under construction and will be functional in a very short period of time. We believe that Knowledge has no boundary and science is endless. We, as an academic program, delightedly accept national and international cooperation and integration enhancing delivery of quality education, strengthening research and innovations, promoting public health protection and community engagement in problem identification, prioritization and forwarding evidence based solutions.
